Thasos Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar in Fort Lauderdale, is named after the Greek island in the Aegean Sea, but the Thasos dining experience brings the Greek cuisine and hospitality to you! Recently renovated Thasos is an indoor/outdoor contemporary Greek restaurant, reminiscent of the hospitality and spirit of the Greek islands with the service and style of a modern restaurant & lounge.
The Greek born owner of Thasos, Sophia Mylona, explained that Thasos’ food is made from fresh ingredients. “Our main focus to use all fresh ingredients, not pre-made or frozen. All of our appetizers, entrees and desserts are made here on the premises” she added.
Thasos bar menu features modern craft cocktails, as well as variety of traditional Greek Ouzo, plus selection of more than 200 wines. The Greek meze is not an appetizer, and not an hors d’oeuvre, it’s more about simply being together to enjoy the food family style. The best way to start meze is with all five Thasos spreads (green chick peas, spicy whipped feta, roasted eggplant, tzatziki, and taramasalata. Sophia’s favorite meze are Zucchini Chips with Tzatziki, and Stuffed Eggplant with Ground Beef & Bechamel Sauce. Our favorite main entrees are Whole Branzino with Sesonal Baby Vegetables, and Lamb Chops with side of Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes.
