The Sagamore Hotel will play host to several events and exhibits during Miami Art Week 2016 in addition to its very own art takeover themed Femme Fatale, with works by world-acclaimed and emerging artists showing various representations of women through media, paintings, photography and sculptures. Curated by fashion historian Catherine Ormen, hotel partner, Ronit Neuman and Sagamore’s art advisor, Sebastien Laboureau, the thought behind Femme Fatale is to not only attribute to the women you see on the cover of magazines, but also working women, mothers, wives, and all whose beauty resonate through our everyday lives.
While furthering its artistic endeavor, the hotel’s new owners will continue with the iconic Saturday Brunch on December 3rd from 9AM – 1PM. The invitation-only event will showcase an inspiring program of live music, art and culture including six female street artists who will demonstrate their talents on various media platforms. A portion of the event’s proceeds will be donated to different organizations including Street Art for Mankind and Mosaic Dance Project, providing an immersive dance performance, and Piano Slam who will showcase several winners from the past year to share poetry, presented by Dranoff 2 Piano Foundation. At 10AM and Noon pianist Ji strikes a personal chord, telling his own story through this musical portrait, drawing inspiration from past masters and the vibrant culture of today on a Steinway concert grand piano, courtesy of Steinway & Sons, Coral Gables. #SagamoreBrunch #sagamoreisart @sagamorehotel
