MCCJ will host its annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami. Since 1946, the dinner has honored community leaders who promote MCCJ’s mission of advancing understanding and respect among people of all cultures, religions, and races with the MCCJ’s prestigious Silver Medallion Award.
The evening will begin with a reception at 7:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 8:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy coffee, cordials and fine chocolates at the after-party, which begins at 10:45 p.m. Marlene and Bob Josefsberg will serve as chairs of the Humanitarian Awards Dinner, while Florence and Sheldon Anderson, Conchi and Tony Argiz, and Jaret L. Davis will serve as honorary chairs.
Proceeds from the Humanitarian Awards Dinner support MCCJ initiatives, including the Student Voices program, which combats bullying, harassment and discrimination in Miami’s high schools; MetroTown, a summer leadership camp for teens; and the Interfaith Clergy Dialogue, a monthly meeting of faith leaders of all traditions that is the oldest such group in the United States. Individual tickets are $500. For more info contact Roberta Shevin at firstname.lastname@example.org or 305-755-6096, ext. 16.
