Transplant Foundation rolled out the green carpet for its annual Emerald Night: Return To Emerald City gala at the Miami Airport Convention Center. Guests experienced a wicked twist on a classic tale as they were welcomed to Emerald Night with passed appetizers and signature cocktails, while meeting beloved characters as they followed “the yellow brick road through three magical and mysterious lands to the Emerald City”.

Evening continued with the silent auction and the program with Billy “DJ Ballistic Billy” Milles as Master of Ceremonies, while “La Linea Band” delivered high energy performance with popular song selection. Guest were greeted by Emerald Night Host and co-chairs Chris Bedner and Tony Pfister, James R. Konschnik, Transplant Foundation CEO and Jon Polenberg,  Transplant Foundation Board Chair. There was a special LIVE performance by Josie O’Donnell mentee of the original songwriter of Wizard of Oz.

This high-energy, chic and sophisticated event raised funds and awareness to support the Foundation’s critical services in helping the community by providing assistance to transplant patients and their families, educating the public on organ and tissue donation, and funding transplant research.  Transplant Foundation is dedicated to assisting patients both during the pre-operative stage and the rehabilitation period, providing the financial assistance to cover urgent needs.
