VeritageMiami returned with its signature Interactive Dinner, one of the most unique culinary experiences of the year, teaming up guests with Miami’s most celebrated chefs to prepare a five-course meal of their own! Helping the chefs were Johnson & Wales culinary students serving as sous chefs and sommeliers. Five of Miami’s top chefs this year were: Alberto Cabrera of Bread + Butter, Todd Erickson of HaVen South Beach, Jose Menden of The Pubbelly Restaurant Group, Giorgio Rapicavoli of Eating House and Cesar Zapata of The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions.
The evening started with cocktail reception provided by Bacardi and canapes by InterContinental Miami Chef Alex Feher. First course prepared was warm artichoke and mushroom salad by Chef Todd Erickson, second course was duck and pumpkin dumplings by Chef Jose Menden, third course was Arroz con Mariscos by Chef Alberto Cabrera, fourth course was ‘The Federal’ steak with cheese grits and brown butter radish by Chef Cesar Zapata, all followed by dessert of maduros ‘Foster’ with cream cheese sauce, guava ice cream and Bacardi Oakheart by Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli.
