Locust Projects is a not for profit exhibition space dedicated to providing contemporary visual artists the freedom to experiment with new ideas, encouraging local, national and international artists to create installations. Founded in 1998 by a trio of Miami-based artists: Elizabeth Withstandley, Westen Charles, and COOPER, the organization was among the first to open in a converted warehouse in Miami’s once depressed Wynwood neighborhood.
This year the Locust Project’s Spring Fling was held at 1111 Lincoln Road, with beats provided by DJ Le Spam. Guests enjoyed food from Baires, The Shake Shack, Macchialina, Harry’s Pizza, The Federal, and MC Kitchen. The Drinks were provided by Samuel Adams, Perroni, Tito Vodka, and yummy wines from the Silent Wine Auction.
