Fleet Week Port Everglades remains the signature event for Broward Navy Days each spring, but the organization is equally committed to actively supporting our seagoing services year-round. The organization plans welcoming events and shore leave activities for visiting Navy and Coast Guard ships periodically throughout the year and supports the activities of the U.S. Navy Southern Command and Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale. Broward Navy Days also participates in the commissioning ceremonies of new Navy ships and Coast Guard cutters in South Florida and the change of command ceremonies for the local Navy and Coast Guard commands.
Ships will arrive at Port Everglades, on Monday, May 1st 7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. private VIP reception starts 4:30 p.m., at Museum of Discovery and Science, Fort Lauderdale, and “All Hands on Deck” welcoming party open to public hosted by FPL, starts 6 p.m., at Esplanade Park, Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Ship Tours will run daily, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and advance reservations is required.
