"Miami for Piano" at Aventura Arts & Cultural CenterThursday, May 15, 8pm-10pm – Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, 3385 NE 188th Street, Aventura

“Miami for Piano” is a unique event by its program and by its cause. Since 1932, Kolarac – the most important concert venue in Belgrade, Serbia, has hosted all the stars of classical music in its superbly acoustics hall – from Prokofiev, Rubinstein and Richter to Kissin. And there is an old piano, played 250 days a year, without an opportunity to be prepared and repaired. This unjust fact brought together the great lovers of classical music who started a worldwide fundraising project – to get a new piano for all those great artists and their audience. The concerts were already held in New York, Boston, Chicago, Paris, London and now in Miami. Serbian pianist Marta Brankovich and her guests: Kemal Gekić, classical concert pianist & Ella Romand, DJ and compositor will perform an extraordinary program. Honoring the great composers of America and Serbia, for the first time in Miami you will enjoy, contrast and compare the sounds of two diverse cultures yet speaking the same language of music. Tickets start at $30.
