American Diabetes Association celebrated fathers at its 5th Annual Miami Father of the Year Awards Dinner hosted in partnership with the Father’s Day Council. “Father of the Year†awards is given to three fathers who demonstrate the ability to balance their personal and professional lives while serving as outstanding role models in their respective communities. This year’s honorees were Leoncio De La Peña, Founding Partner and CEO De La Peña Group; Jose A. Hernandez-Solaun, President The Easton Group; and Jorge Luis Lopez, Principal Jorge Luiz Lopez Law Firm.
The men honored understand the importance of giving back and supporting the community, so as honorees they also help sell tickets, tables and ads for the awards dinner, raising much-needed funds to help Stop Diabetes®. Sharing this special evening with other community leaders, friends and family truly makes this event a special evening for all in attendance. Not only is it an opportunity to celebrate fatherhood and support the important work of the American Diabetes Association, it is also a great opportunity to network and connect with other well-respected local business leaders.
