2nd Annual POPS Rock Da Park Summer Family FestÂ will be held atÂ The goal is to bringÂ familiesÂ in the community together to increase community involvement and network opportunities, in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.Â The eventÂ supports Childrenâ€™s Services Council goals and itsâ€™ mission is to provide leadership, advocacy and resources necessary to enhance childrenâ€™s lives and empower them to become responsible and productive adults. POPS, Inc. students will enhance leadership and community engagement skills through their direct involvement with development andÂ execution ofÂ the event.Â All participants will enjoy great entertainment, food and games.Â The eventÂ will alsoÂ incorporateÂ Â â€œLive Performancesâ€Â by engaging local youth not over the age of 21 that perform live music from all different types of music genres (i.e., Latin, Rock, funk, blues, Gospel, R&B, Jazz, etc.).Â The eventÂ will showcase the studentsâ€™ art form while allowing students to further develop their skills.Â The winner of the contest will receive FREEÂ recording studioÂ time from one of the community partners CriticalÂ Recording Studio.Â By havingÂ the eventÂ at Esplanade Park, they will be able to capture the essence of the art and museum district in downtown Ft. Lauderdale which is all centrally located with respect to the venue.
