Biscayne Beach Breaks Ground in East Edgewater

Biscayne Beach Breaks Ground in East EdgewaterWednesday, June 4, 10am - Biscayne Beach, 711 NE 29th Street, Miami

Construction cranes continue to rise throughout Miami’s thriving East Edgewater neighborhood with the groundbreaking of Biscayne Beach, the area’s newest luxury condominium to get underway. The 51-story waterfront tower, located on 29th Street along Biscayne Bay, is set to bring a private man-made beach to Miami’s urban core. Under development by a joint venture partnership between South Florida-based Eastview Development and New York’s GTIS Partners, the start of vertical construction brings Biscayne Beach one step closer to its scheduled completion date in 2016.

Biscayne Beach’s development team commemorated the momentous occasion with an official groundbreaking ceremony held at the project’s site. Notable attendees included City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, City of Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, celebrity interior design partner Thom Filicia, as well as representatives from Cervera Real Estate, WHLC Architecture and BC Architects. “We are excited to commence construction on Biscayne Beach,” said Reid Boren, partner at Eastview Development. We remain committed to delivering a building where residents will enjoy the highest quality in design and lifestyle, including activating one of Miami’s greatest natural amenities – Biscayne Bay.”

Boasting a prime, waterfront location along Biscayne Bay, Biscayne Beach’s resort-style amenities will include a private, members-only Beach Club with a zero-entry pool, an elevated sandy beach with private cabanas, as well as a renowned restaurant and bar. All of these features will be set against the backdrop of sweeping Biscayne Bay views, with a public bay walk providing access to the water – complete with bay-side piers for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more.

Biscayne Beach’s luxury residences will include one-, two- and three-bedroom condos, including six two-story upper penthouses with private rooftop pools and garden terraces. Interior design star Thom Filicia – famously known for his role on the Emmy Award-winning show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” –  is creating the sophisticated ‘beach chic’ designs for the project’s common area amenity spaces and members-only Beach Club. Pre-construction prices range from units in the $400,000s to multi-million dollar penthouses. “Our sales success thus far is a testament to the fact that East Edgewater is Miami’s hottest new neighborhood,” said Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, managing partner of Cervera Real Estate, the project’s exclusive sales and marketing partner. “Buyers hailing from countries across the globe have selected East Edgewater as the place for their next home and Biscayne Beach as their address of choice.”
