Support the Monica Burguera Foundation‘s efforts to reduce the number of boating accidents in South Florida and to offer free boating safety classes in partnership with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla. The 5th Annual Fishing for Boating Safety Tournament will get underway promptly with “lines in” at 7:30 a.m. The Weigh Station at the Yacht Club will be open from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. for anglers’ weigh-in. Tournament participants and supporters are invited to be part of the fun from 2 to 6 p.m. with food and drinks served from 3 to 5 p.m., commentary by Tournament Director Eddie Leon, raffles and music, and the awards presentations between 5 and 6 p.m. Registration per boat is $400 and non-anglers can pay just $30 for adults and $20 for kids to enjoy the weigh-in festivities.
