If there’s one person who can make you feel as if you’ve wasted your time on Earth, it’s Chris Colfer. At 24 years young, Colfer has starred in a successful television show (Glee) — his first professional acting gig, by the way — written a book he later adapted into a screenplay (Struck by Lightning), and completed three children’s books, the first of which debuted at number one on the New York Times bestseller list in 2012. He’s got the output of James Franco but without any of the lame weed jokes or underage sexting. And he’ll be in Miami this weekend promoting the third installment of his series The Land of Stories. The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning follows twin protagonists Conner and Alex Bailey as they once again get swallowed into the world of fairy tales. Colfer will be at Books & Books on Sunday at 11 a.m. The event is free; however, to get into the book-signing line, you must purchase A Grimm Warning in advance and show a copy of your receipt. The hardcover sells for $18 and is available for preorder online or over the phone. Colfer will sign up to eight books per person, two of which can be backlist titles from the series.
