Miami’s most chic mingled with industry insiders at Ready, Set, Swim, which premiered in its third annual runway show and cocktail party. The Riviera Hotel set the backdrop for the high fashion, summer scene, as models strutted down the pool-top runway in the hottest looks from Sex Pot Swimwear, who debuted their first collection, Amita Naithani and Beware Swimwear. Fashion’s elite, invited guests, and media viewed the collections while enjoying sips from LIQ’s Cocktail Shots.
Sex Pot Swimwear’s 2015 collection drew inspiration from the urban sophisticate. Made in the USA of high quality materials, the collection makes a modern statement on vintage silhouettes. Sex Pot paired high-waist, Brazilian cut bottoms with minimal tops, and added subtle cut outs to solid one-piece suits.
Indian born designer Amita Naithani began her career in fashion producing beachwear for top designers including Michael Kors, Carmen Marc Valvo, and Vince Camuto. Taking beachwear from fun in the sun to evening chic, Naithani creates each piece to have a multi-look quality. Her 2015 Resort collection features both soft, sophisticated neutrals and blushes with added bold pops of chartreuse and turquoise.
Beware Swimwear is known for striking prints and edgy textures. Designer Minouche Pericles mixes sexy cutouts with high-waist silhouttes and daring plunge necklines to create statement-making suits with a bit of Caribbean flair.
