AYUDA celebrated 37th year as well as the birthdays of their Chairperson, DeAnne Connolly Graham, CEO, Diana Susi, Vice Chair, Laura Jimenez and board member, Esther Dollar at the Freehand Hotel’s Broken Shaker Bar with a cozy summer night out. The James Beard Award-nominated bar provided three handcrafted customized cocktails for this occasion. Chef James Seyba paired those cocktails with items from his specialty menu.
AYUDA helps to improve the lives of children and families who are underserved and / or at risk in South Florida through education, life skills training, and programs that support self sufficiency. Since its establishment in 1977 agency has served over 145,000 children, adolescents, adults, and elderly in South Florida. Agency provides programs to prevent abuse and neglect, at the same time empowering and inspiring clients to believe that they do make a difference in the world. Programs include enrichment as well as prevention for the very young to the elderly. Early educational scholarships, parenting skills as well as family empowerment programs are in place for the entire family unit.
