The Island Bistro, located on Brickell Key inside the Courvoisier Centre, is a European-inspired neighborhood restaurant & bar, offering its guests a casual and upscale setting to enjoy food and drinks while steps away from Brickell and the finance district. Giovanni Dario Costanzo is the new executive chef at Island Bistro. Previously he has worked as executive chef at the Grand Hotel Miami Beach, and as sous chef at The Biltmore Hotel and Fisher Island Hotel. In coming to United States from Italy, he has brought his Mediterranean background and appreciation for the freshest ingredients with him. Since Chef Costanzo came to Island Bistro in January, he has been changing and developing new dishes for the restaurant. Some of his new creations include Seafood Carpaccio Trio, Island Bistro Pasta, and Lobster Risotto along with many other. He has also been featured on WSVN with his Bistro Stuffed Shrimp recipe.

There are 52 dishes on the new menu, so there is something for everyone including kid friendly sandwiches and pastas.  All of the homemade pastas are made on site daily.  Some of the new menu items to mention are Escargot Borguignon, sautéed with minced garlic and herb butter, tender and flavorful meat served with fresh thyme, served in a classic escargot presentation from the oven, with butter still bubbling. From the main course Lobster Ravioli is a”must try”, served with crunchy herbs and fork tender ravioli full of lobster meat. The bar and lounge has been updated to into a chic lounge for cocktailing with Herman Miller-designed furniture.  The bartenders serve the classics with a twist such as fresh pineapple juice for the Pina Coladas. During lunch the Island Bistro has an Executive Special for $20 a three course meal, including soup or salad and a choice of meat or seafood and dessert, served until 3pm & dine-in only. Monday through Friday between 5pm-8pm guests can enjoy 5-6-7 Happy Hour with $5 Draft Beers, $6 Wine by the Glass, and $7 Mixed House Drinks. After Happy Hour, those who choose to stay and dine will receive 10% off their bill.

Parking is no longer an issue; Island Bistro validates parking for guests, which is great news for all of non Brickell Key residents. For Brickell Key residents they offer complimentary golf cart pick up! As appreciation to their guest’s loyalty they also created a Rewards Card Program built to provide guests with an easy way to earn points every time dine out. Island Bistro also started serving a continental breakfast and will be serving full breakfast at the end of the month. The Coffee Bar opens at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, while the restaurant is open 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday; on Sunday is closed.
