Tsukuro, Fort Lauderdale Beachâ€™s popular Asian-inspired eatery, pays homage to its culinary roots with a Full Moon White Party. The restaurant, which celebrates Asian traditions and festivals with special events, will spotlight the festivities of the Hungry Ghost Festival at the Full Moon White Party.Â During the party,Â Tsukuro, which translates to the phrase â€œwhere the moon arrives over the water,â€Â will give members of the Inner Circle, an exclusive club for Tsukuro fans, the chance to enjoy a 30 percent discount on food and beverages. Locals are encouraged to sign up online for a complimentary membership to the Inner Circle, which offers promotions and insider deals.
According to Chinese tradition, during the Hungry Ghost Festival, the deceased visit Earth to find food and entertainment. Traditional activities include preparing ritualistic food offerings and the burning of incense and joss paper also known as â€œghost money.â€ Keeping in theme, Tsukuro will offer Inner Circle members the chance to burn joss paper in fire pits. Guests are encouraged to also wear white, the color of mourning in Chinese culture, and ancestral spirits. Live entertainment will include special guest DJ Eran Hersh, ribbon dancers, fire dance performances by Dance South Florida, and magical acts from House of Cards and Fire Magic.Â For the September Full Moon Party, Tsukuro will honor the Japanâ€™s Tsukimi Festival, which celebrates the start of the harvest.
