The Bakehouse Art Complex‘s 2nd Friday Openings will introduce the work of internationally renowned encaustic (hot wax) artists to Wynwood. Devil In the Straight Line, sponsored by International Encaustic Artists, runs through October 13 in the Audrey Love Gallery. Juried by Henning Haupt, a Florida based German artist and educator, the exhibition consists of two- and three-dimensional work created primarily with encaustic that reflects the beauty of undulating lines and riots of color. The opening will also include beverages courtesy of Desperados, a food truck for light bites, live music and the opportunity to visit the studios of Bakehouse resident artists.
