Gangstas, Gals and Glam: Dress for Success Miami 20th Anniversary GalaSaturday, October 11, 7:30pm-1am – Rusty Pelican, 3201 Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne

Dress for Success Miami celebrated its 20th anniversary with an over-the-top gala, saluting the Roaring 1920’s with the theme “Gangstas, Gals and Glam,” together with Honorary Chairs Maritere and Jon Secada, as well as Honorary Chairwoman Star Jones. Dress for Success Miami has helped 50,000 clients re-enter the workforce and, through the gala, will ensure continued support to the residents in Miami- Dade County.

The evening was presented by Royal Carribbean and MCs were WPLG Local 10 news anchors Laurie Jennings and Calvin Hughes. “Honorary Gals” for the evening included NBC 6 anchor Trina Robinson, and lifestyle director for, journalist and correspondent for CNN Espanol Paula Lamas. Also this year Miami based fashion designer Julian Chang supported the gala by providing a custom, one-of-a-kind gown for the silent auction, as well as designing evenings looks for very special guests: two Dress for Success Miami clients.

Guests were welcomed by a red carpet, followed by a cocktail reception with exquisite passed hors d’oeuvres, as well as wine and spirits, including signature Dress for Success Miami cocktails provided by Diageo. Attendees also had the opportunity to bid on extraordinary items in a silent auction, including “staycations” from Miami’s most luxurious hotels; experiences from the best restaurants in South Florida; 2015 Grammy Award tickets; rock n’ roll memorabilia; exclusive jewelry and many more exciting items. The reception was followed by gourmet dinner and dancing. After dinner, guests could play their luck at the casino while enjoying a cigar by one o Cigar Aficionado‘s Top 25 brands, Oliva.
