David Castillo Gallery is proud to announce its new space on Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road. The inaugural exhibition will mark the gallery’s 101st exhibition, a large group show to be announced in the coming month. The inauguration of the space comes after one decade in Miami with a 5,000 square foot gallery. The gallery’s new exhibition space is located in a historic Lincoln Road building, designed by architect Albert Anis.Â David Castillo Gallery’s focus is on conceptual curatorial models as they relate to art historical, cultural, and personal investigations of identity. The gallery works with artists committed to the integrity of their individual histories and studio practices as agents of contemporary climate. The gallery’s roster includes Francie Bishop Good, Adler Guerrier, Quisqueya Henriquez, Susan Lee-Chun, Pepe Mar, Melvin Martinez, Jillian Mayer, Fabian Pena, the TM Sisters as well as internationally acclaimed artists such as Sanford Biggers, Rafael Ferrer, Kate Gilmore, Luis Gispert, Lyle Ashton Harris, Robert Melee, Xaviera Simmons, Shinique Smith, and Wendy White.
