Friday, November 18, 6:30pm-8:30pm – Fernanda’s International Market & Cafe, 3045 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale
Fernanda’s International Market & Cafe has been a local treasure for almost 40 years and for the last decade it has been in the welcoming arms of the Johasky family.
Though Fernanda’s is successful in creating a comfortable, homey setting, you won’t find most of the gourmet market items at home. The cafe is composed of dishes made fresh-to-order, even the coffee. Local and international products are carefully chosen to ensure quality and flavor. Manager Bethany Johasky authentically and enthusiastically endorses local vendor favorites. Her mother Leslie Johasky is also actively involved in this family artisan endeavor.
Fernanda’s International Cafe features mouthwatering pastries, fresh deli meats, a variety of cheeses and Charcuterie, along with creations by Chef Peter, homemade fresh mozzarella and an olive extravaganza. In addition to the homemade soup, salads and pasta dishes, they prepare chicken, fish and meat entres. The deli offers twenty different sandwiches, all using fresh bread daily from Gran Forno and Croissan’Time.
Chef Peter, Bethany and Leslie hosted yet another night of tasting, tantalizing taste-buds and teaching guests how to create simple festive dishes such as prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and a cheese board. Guests had a chance to discover cravings that did not know they had, with tastes of the truffle honey jam, infused cheeses (raspberry, Merlot, balsamic, espresso) and the homemade Stromboli.
With their catering services, hand-selected gift baskets, gourmet groceries and a stimulating selection of worldly wine, Fernanda’s International Market & Cafe can handle your holiday needs while making you a savory sandwich. To crave your curiosity, check out their upcoming wine and food tastings. #FernandasMarket
