The work of conceptual artist Audrey Hynes will be on view through June 26, opening with receptions on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m. Hynes’ project specifically explores issues of material and location, with the manipulation of the materials becoming the process of each project. Relative to time and place within the site, the projects are temporary arrangements that are subject to change and become more of a sequence and narrative with each rearrangement. The work is partially autobiographical, and Hynes attempts to detach herself from it to place it in a larger context with the intention of expressing a variety of feelings evident through human behavior. Each sculpture, photograph and installation relates to a theory where a subjective experience is in relation to a phenomena.
