Segundo Muelle is a restaurant group known for its flavors, freshness and creativity. Segundo Muelle began as a humble four table restaurant in Lima, Peru under the direction of owner, Chef Dani Manrique. Dani’s passion for the kitchen was sparked as a young boy fishing and eating his catch of the day in a small beach town named San Bartolo. Dani’s culinary skill combined with his creativity caught quickly caught the eye of the public and Segundo Muelle has become an international brand with locations in 5 nations.
Guests attending the opening of the first U.S. location for this respected brand enjoyed top notch talent from the culinary scene. The dynamic event also featured music by the internationally acclaimed celebrity DJ Africa, specialty performances, cocktails courtesy of Pisco 100, Cerveza Cusquena Beer, and of course the unique and spirited culinary delights that has made Segundo Muelle an International hit. Dignitaries and VIP’s that joined the celebration are Coral Gables Mayor James Cason, and the Miami General Consulate of Peru, Cesar Enrique Bustamante Llosa. TV host, actress, and spokesperson Adriana Catano and musician and son of the late Tito Puente the legendary bandleader Tito Puente Jr. who also serves as honorary ambassadors to the Seguno Muelle Coral Gables location, and received honorary keys to the venue.
