“An Evening with Victor Victoria” to Benefit Neighbors 4 Neighbors 2014

“An Evening with Victor Victoria” to Benefit Neighbors 4 NeighborsWednesday, November 12, 7pm-9pm – Lips, 1421 East Oakland Park Blvd., Oakland Park

Lips, drag dining at its finest, presented its very own “Vegas” style drag show “An Evening with Victor Victoria”. This was a benefit for Neighbors 4 Neighbors and donations went to the Adopt A Family 4 the Holidays program, which 468 families applied to for help this year. This exclusive, one-night fundraiser, was hosted by Lips show hostess Diva, and included a night of many stars with impersonations of Cher, Tina Turner, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, plus the role reversal stage debut of event chairs: Keith Backer, Betsi Kassebaum, Doug Kinzer, Joanne Silva and Max Tucci.

The night was soaring with talent, joy and generousity as the professional staff combined their skills to fundraise, host and entertain. Guests were greeted with a cast members and a champagne reception. They then enjoyed a delicious three-course meal and complimentary beverages. The gracious bartender Marvin invites guests to return to see him bartend in drag Wednesday nights during bitchy bingo. Also on Wednesdays, if you need advice on how to use your iPhone just ask Nicole, the talented drag server.

“An Evening with Victor Victoria” raised nearly $19,000, according to Michael Goodman of Goodman Public Relations.
