Saturday, November 29, 7pm-12am – Perez Art Museum Miami, 1103 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami
The Perez Museum was draped in white, visual stimulation and elegance as White Party attendees dawned their finest whites. White Party Hostess Elaine Lancaster led guests down “A Diamond Jubilee” theme, which included a fabulous trail of flowing cocktails, awesome casino prizes and music from DJ David Knapp and the White Party Symphony, as composed and conducted by Sam Hyken. Guests arrived early could also take private tours of the Perez Art Museum and enjoy fabulous hors d’oeuvres from Stephen Starr Events.
“The White Party” was created by a wonderful group of altruistic and compassionate people drawn together – responding to a dreadful disease that had caused tragic losses and much personal grief. With the ever changing landscape of this pandemic, The White Party finds itself in the midst of change to fit today’s growing needs while catering to a much more diverse crowd. I encourage all of Miami to come out and celebrate our Diamond Jubilee! – Rick Siclari, CEO, Care Resource. Through the White Party, for over 30 years, Care Resource has been able to raise millions of dollars for HIV/AIDS research, prevention, care and treatment services to individuals in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. The last six years have ushered in a real maturing of Care Resource. They took their model of excellence and expanded it to include not only those with HIV, but all of South Florida’s diverse LGBT and less privileged communities. Today, they are a full-fledged federally qualified community health center (FQHC) – a medical home for all those in need.
