Amigos For Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by strengthening families and educating communities, celebrated the 16th edition of Miami Celebrity Domino Night at the University of Miami Student Center Complex in Coral Gables. Recognized as South Florida’s most popular fundraiser, the now traditional Father’s Day weekend event, once again, delivered an illustrious star-studded Blue Carpet, domino playing, cocktails courtesy of presenting sponsor Bacardí U.S.A. and a stellar silent auction.

With a night dedicated to creating awareness and raising funds for Amigos For Kids efforts, Telemundo Network’s Jorge Bernal and Jacqueline Bracamontes, “Despacito” co-author Erika Ender, and Univision Network’s Jackie Guerrido and Pamela Silva Conde served as Celebrity Hosts. Celebrity Emcee Hosts included NBC6 Anchor and Amigos honorary board member, Jackie Nespral alongside WPLG’s Local 10 Louis Aguirre and Telemundo Network’s Luis Alfonso Borrego.

Media personalities, top celebrities and elected officials present included: Fernando Allende, Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Ximena Cordoba, Gabriel Coronel, Hialeah Gardens Mayor Yioset De La Cruz, Maity Interiano, Miami-Dade County Public Defender Carlos J. Martinez, Gloria Ordaz, Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Maria Elena Salinas, former University of Miami President Donna Shalala, Carolina Tejera and Felipe Viel.

Live entertainment was provided by multi-Grammy Award winner Marlow Rosado & His Orchestra. Guests enjoyed delicious South Florida culinary fare courtesy of Baptist Health South Florida, Café Pilon, Edda’s Cake Designs, First Watch, Goya Foods, Half Moon Empanadas, Hatuey, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, La Carreta, Los Ranchos Steakhouse, Mena Catering, Paella’s R Us, Papa John’s Pizza, POKÉBAR, Sushi Maki, and Versailles Cuban Restaurant.

Funds raised during Miami Celebrity Domino Night will aid programs including the after school services at Jose Martí Park, the Amigos Strengthens Families & Communities Nurturing Parent program; the annual back-to-school and holiday toy drives, and its prevention efforts initiatives; the Amigos For Kids yearlong There’s NO Excuse For Child Abuse!® Blue Ribbon Campaign and Broken Crayons ™.
