Ciclovia Miami 2014

Ciclovia MiamiSunday, December 14, 9am-1pm - Calle Ocho, from SW 9 Ct to SW 22 Avenue, Miami

Ciclovia Miami took place along SW 8 Street between SW 9 Court and SW 22 Avenue on Sunday, December 14, 2014. This event held by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) was a great success thanks to Little Havana’s local merchants and partners involved, such as Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Miami-Dade Transit and the City of Miami Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET).

The event included live music by Radio Caracol and El Zol 106.7, as locals danced, walked and rode their bicycles along historical Calle Ocho. MiamiBikeScene, Everglades Bike Club and various cyclist groups came to participate in the first annual Ciclovia to take advantage of the “car-free,” streets. Families flocked with their children and pets to walk the open street and enjoy activities such as robolaxe and yoga. Nearly 1000 Miami-Dade County residents enjoyed this fun-filled event. FDOT asks that you stay tuned for details on the next Ciclovia. #CicloviaMiami
