The 68th Annual Beaux Arts Ball is heading to the water! This year the city’s longest running costume ball will be held by boat in Biscayne Bay. Ball by Boat guests will travel by private vessels to a secret location for a socially distant sandbar fundraiser. The invite only affair will feature live music, a giant floating LED screen, entertainment, a silent auction, and much more.
This year across the country 37 percent of non-profit arts jobs were lost, 99% of exhibits and shows were cancelled, and non-profit arts groups lost a combined $9.1 billion due to Covid- 19. These statistics echo the reality of the arts here at home. The Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami has seen their funding slashed, jobs lost, and exhibits canceled. We hope to offer them some relief with the funds raised at this event. These critical funds will also help us continue to fund our art program HandsON! that offers arts education and museum experiences for students in underserved schools. #BeauxArts @BAMiami
