Miami Rum Congress founders, Ian Burrell of the U.K RumFest and Federico Hernandez of TheRumLab.com, with over 25 years of combined expertise in the international rum industry, have joined forces to bring South Florida its second major rum festival. The 1st Miami Rum Congress, the boutique style two-day event showcased a handful of brands that emphasize on the education and premiumization of the rum category. 

Day one featured industry-oriented symposiums geared toward rum producers, distillers, importers and other professionals. The second day was designed to appeal to rum connoisseurs with seminars, and tastings, with more than 30 premium rums available for tasting. In addition, a main stage event featured competitions with local and international mixologists.
