The National Salute to America’s Heroes presented by Hyundai is a two-day event held Memorial Day weekend designed to pay tribute, honor and encourage military and first responder heroes. The National Salute to America’s Heroes presented by Hyundai is FREE and is anchored by the Hyundai Air & Sea Show and The Music Explosion Concert presented by Hyundai on the Altec Lansing Stage. The Display Village/Action Zone is at show center, in Lummus Park, which spans more than four city blocks, and includes interactive displays from all branches of the military, food and beverage tents plus merchandise and displays from patriotic sponsors and local organizations. The Display Village/Action Zone, which includes the STIHL Timberworks Lumberjack Show and the Monster Energy Keith Sayers KSFMX Freestyle Motocross demonstration.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. with the Music Explosion Concert live Saturday night only from 6-10 p.m., but it’s best to arrive at the event early. The City of Miami Beach hosts a Kids Fun Zone at the Hyundai Air and Sea Show. The Kids Zone is at Lummus Park on Ocean Drive between 12 and 13 streets on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children and their parents can participate in themed arts and crafts, kid fitness, relay races, dance-a-thon and the opportunity to write letters to our service men and women. Upon arriving to Miami Beach, don’t circle the block looking for parking. Use the free, Park Me – Miami Beach app to find parking near your destination. This mobile app shows you available parking and rates for lots and garages, including real-time occupancy information for certain facilities. There are numerous ways to get around Miami Beach on public transportation once visitors arrive, including the free Miami Beach trolleys and Citi Bike.
