The Miami Beach Botanical Garden and the Japanese Consulate in Miami are teaming up for this yearâ€™s annual Japanese Spring Festival to bring a kimono fashion show to the Garden, as well as taiko drumming performances, sushi, arts and crafts and much more. The fashion show will feature kimonos by Hiromi Asai, whose kimonos are featured in Vogue, in national television ads by Verizon Wireless, and worn by celebrity musician Nicki Minaj. Ms. Asai will also talk briefly on the history of kimonos and present the material they are made of to educate the audience on the process of creating and wearing a kimono. FREE and open to public.
