The Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show is a dynamic marketplace of home improvements, interior design and ideas, products and services for residential decorating and remodeling. The 2015 Show will host the inaugural At Home With Art, connecting the art and interior design professionals with the consumer to help them make South Florida fine art a part of their home and office design.Â Art district representatives will also be on hand with information about art walks, museums, galleries and openings, plus cultural events. The Culinary Experience Cooking Stage, a popular feature at the show, will celebrate Latino flavors in daily cooking shows that feature a variety of guest chefs from around South Florida, including Chef Adrianne Calvo of Chef Adrianneâ€™s.
A private opening reception kick-started four days of festivities and unveiled “At Home with Art: Spotlight on Miami’s Art Districts” featuring art exhibition that showcases paintings, sculptures, and photography by 22 Miami artists representing 7 of the City’s most popular art districts. The opening featured celebrity, New York Designer Vanessa DeLeon, an interior designer, writer, award winning Designer for the Italian Trade Commission, ASID and IDS entrepreneur, and television personality. DeLeonÂ has been featured in numerous shows including: Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible; HGTV’s Design Star, Generation Renovation, Designer’s Challenge, and Bang for your Buck; and, most recently, as one of 12 contestants on NBC’s American Dream Builders.
Guest will have a chance to preview 4 rooms designed by South Florida Interior Designers who include works by “At Home with Art” artists in each showcase: Viviana Malave of VGM Decorators Inc. who will incorporate paintings by Klara Chavarria and sculptures by Sandra Garcia-Pardo; Crystal J. Pierre of High-Life Designs features paintings by Marco Beria and Tina Salvesen; Amelia Rozas of Amelia Rozas Designs Inc., works by Paolo Ambu; and designer duo, Jorge Noa and Pedro Balmaseda of Nobarte, sculptures by sculptor and ceramicist, Rafael Consuegra.
