Girls’ Club and Broward County Cultural Division invite artists, curators, performers and other creatives to attend this brown bag lunch talk and grant application workshop, Wednesday, April 15 with Adriane Clarke, grant specialist from Broward County Cultural Division.
Adriane will introduce and discuss the Creative Investment Program (CIP) grant for individual artists, which grants up to $2,000 to artists for an exhibition, live performance, lecture/demonstration or other arts activity that engages an audience, to take place in 2016.
From 1 â€“ 3pm, Adriane will lead a hands-on application preparation workshop where participants will be able further discuss personal questions, proposals, application issues and questions. Topics to include specific questions asked in the application including: discussion of project ideas, crafting a clear and succinct project description, describing the Cultural Merit of your project, Individual Artist Merit and best practices for support material attachments.
Participants are highly encouraged to begin or complete the Artist Eligibility Form before attending, available at the bottom of the CIP Grant Page. Adriane can discuss, answer questions and access form materials during the workshop to aid in completion. Participants are also encouraged to review and begin the Application and may bring in-progress applications, notes and/or queries.
