Young opera singers from around the country will gather to take part in the Young Patronesses of the Opera 28th National Voice Competition. Ten finalists, chosen from a total of 25 semifinalists out of 116 initial applicants, will perform in a concert in front of a panel of illustrious jurors to earn $40,000 in prize monies to further careers in the field of grand opera. The program will include both popular and important arias by today’s brightest young talents. Awards are presented in two categories, with an $8,000 prize to the Senior Young Artist (ages 26-30) winner and $7,500.00 to the Junior Young Artist winner (ages 20 -25). An audience favorite award will also be given. Tickets are $25 and include an invitation to the Sparkling Winners Reception by La Fenice Prosecco to follow the award presentation.
