FUNDarte presents Out In The Tropics 2015, launching with a LGBTQ Community Panel and Opening Reception on Tuesday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. at LGBT Visitors’ Center, poetry reading by Miami’s own Chely Lima followed by cocktail reception on Wednesday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m. at The Miami Beach Botanical Garden; Screening of the classic film Caravaggio by Derek Jarman on Thursday, May 7 at 9:00 p.m. at O Cinema Miami Beach; Surveillance Punishment and the Black Psyche, a groundbreaking multimedia theater work by M Lamar on Friday May 8 at 8:30 p.m. at the Gleason Room Backstage at the Fillmore Miami Beach; Lovebirds, a comedic solo play by GLAAD award winner Marga Gomez, from San Francisco, CA, and JARMAN, a multimedia performance work written by Caridad Svich and directed and performed by John Moletress of force/collision from Washington, DC, presented as a double bill on Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at The Colony Theater.
