Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science invites South Floridians to “dive into†its 4th Annual Miami Underwater Festival, sponsored by festival founders Shelly and Marko Dimitrijevic. The festival is being held in celebration of the global World Oceans Day, in honor of the oceans that link the world together, the products they provide to our daily lives, and to raise awareness of the current challenges faced. Visitors will get a chance to explore some of the themes and topics that will be featured in the Living Core Aquarium at the Museum’s future facility, opening in downtown Miami’s Museum Park in 2016.
Frost Museum of Science invites the community to explore a range of topics from the biology of corals and sharks to conservation efforts, with awe-inspiring underwater films from BLUE on Tour. Visitors will also be able to enjoy interactive activities including building aquariums, presentations by filmmakers and world-renowned marine scientists, and “meet†sea creatures and critters. Admission is free for members and children under 3; students (with valid ID), seniors (62+) and children 3-12, $10.95; adults are $14.95.
