Dutch menswear brand Suitsupply’s CEO Fokke de Jong and VP Nish de Gruiter hosted the grand opening of their first Florida retail location in Miami Beach. A favorite among celebrities such as Bruno Mars, Macklemore and Scott Disick, Suitsupply uses a revolutionary approach to men’s fashion by combining the finest fabrics, European styling and high-quality tailoring to customers around the world. Suitsupply chose Miami Beach for their newest store location following heavy online demand.
The 4,000 square feet on the third floor, as well as a 1,700 square-foot terrace, located right off of Lincoln Road is a fitting home for the luxury collection, known for its personally tailored, hand-stitched suits made from the finest fabrics sourced directly from Biela, Italy. Taking a less expensive space is part of keeping costs down, De Gruiter said “It helps us to bring a very nice, high-level product for a more attainable price point.â€
De Jong started in men’s fashion by selling suits out of his dorm room at Amsterdam University College. He founded Suitsupply in 2000 in Amsterdam and currently has nearly 70 stores worldwide, including in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Mexico City, Milan, London, Amsterdam, Brussels and Shanghai. Suitsupply offers everything from expertly-fitted suits, to neck ties and cuff links, to hip casual wear all for between $400 and $1,000.
