The inaugural Flavors of Miami, presented by Miami Transplant Institute, a unique affiliation between Jackson Health System and UHelth – University of Miami Health System, was a gourmet culinary experience beyond the traditional gala. Guests savored Miami’s most exclusive restaurants, as top local chefs prepared five-course dinner table side together with wine pairings.
The evening started with silent auction and cocktail reception featuring delicious hors d’oeuvres by participating chefs. Mistress of Ceremonies was Nathalie Rodriguez, an on-air personality and the entertainment queen on MY 93.9 WMIA, while the welcoming note was delivered by Thomas Nealon, III, CEO and National Board Chairman, American Liver Foundation. Mr. Joe Arriola, Jackson Health System introduced the evening honoree Rodrigo Vianna, MD, PhD, Director, Miami Transplant Institute;Â Chief, Liver, Intestinal and Multivisceral Transplant; Professor, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Jackson Health System.
Proceeds will benefit the American Liver Foundation’s efforts to help improve the lives of 30 million people in the U.S. living with liver disease. ALF is a non-profit organization which works to facilitate, advocate, and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver diseases.
