This Miami Spice,at La Moderna guests will be happily surprised with an innovative Miami Spice menu featuring vegan Italian options, a welcome cocktail (or mocktail) and great deals on premium wines. La Moderna has set the standard for a menu with endless pasta-bilities of Italian favorites and vegan alternatives that are still incredibly flavorful and genuine to tradition.
Miami Spice guests will be welcomed with a complimentary “Be My Guest” mocktail before choosing an appetizer, a main course and dessert inspired by various concepts. Under “Find the Difference,” guests can try classic or vegan versions of authentic Italian dishes. Guests can opt for the Classic GranMa Parmigiana (appetizer), layers of eggplant, bufala mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano and San Marzano tomato sauce; Vegan Parmigiana (appetizer), layers of eggplant, vegan mozzarella, vegan parmesan, basil and San Marzano tomatoes sauce; Prime Beef Carpaccio (appetizer), Angus beef carpaccio garnished with confit tomato, mixed green salad and mustard sauce; Scottish Salmon Carpaccio (appetizer), marinated fresh salmon with apple, passion fruit, grape tomatoes and scallions; or Portobello Mushroom Carpaccio (appetizer), grilled marinated Portobello mushroom garnished with green bell pepper and julienne fennel, arugula pesto sauce; Vegan Cannelloni (main course) filled with zucchini pesto, tomatoes and soy milk béchamel; or Vegan Lava Cake (dessert), with chocolate hazelnut spread served with a scoop of vanilla vegan ice cream.
Under the description of “Interesting Twists on the Classics,” guests will find Carbonara di Mare (main course), a variation on the classic carbonara romana with eggs, pecorino cheese and small cubes of fresh swordfish; and Crab-less Cakes (appetizer), wood oven-baked “crab” cake with lemon, black olives, crispy arugula and fennel sauce while the “First in Town” menu includes Vegan Lillies with Broccoli (main course) made with imported legume-based pasta served in a delicious broccoli sauce.
The Miami Spice dinner menu will also offer “Evergreens at Their Top” featuring a few of their signature dishes executed to perfection. This assortment of dishes includes Calamari Fritti (appetizer), fried calamari and vegetables with a signature tomato sauce; Truffle & Mushroom Risotto (main course) classic Italian risotto with imported Porcini, Portobello mushrooms and black truffle; Signature Lobster Tagliolini (main course), tagliolini with maine’ lobster, cherry tomatoes, thyme and shallots; Aged Ribeye Tagliata (main course) sliced grilled aged angus prime rib eye garnished with baby spinach, served with smoked creamy pecorino sauce and truffle carpaccio; Pan Seared Swordfish Involtini (main course), pan seared swordfish in panko bread crust stuffed with eggplant and parmesan cheese stuffing served with grilled asparagus and topped with black olive, basil and grape tomato sauce; and Polpo Alla Griglia (main course), grilled octopus with fresh tomatoes, capers, olives and smoked potato sauce.
For the menu finale, guests can indulge in “La Moderna’s Renowned Desserts” featuring Traditional Tiramisu, ladyfingers dipped in espresso coffee layered with classic mascarpone cream; Italian Style Cheesecake, the restaurant’s signature cheesecake made with bufala mozzarella cheese served with chocolate and strawberry jam; or Budino di Pane, soft home bread dessert infused with milk, cinnamon, orange zest and served with vanilla ice cream, topped with bourbon sauce.
To accompany all these delectable dishes, guests can order from “La Moderna Spice Cellar” ($25 a bottle or $7 a glass), which offers a selection of more than ten Italian wines such as Sassoregale Vermentino 2017, ColosiNero d’Avola 2016 and Pecorari Ros’Alba Rosato 2016.
