Stephen Starr and STARR Restaurants are opening Continental Miami, its fourth restaurant in the South Florida market. Located on Collins Avenue and 23rd Street at Aloft South Beach, Starrâ€™s original retro 70s Philadelphia restaurant,Â features innovative eclectic dishes and classic martinis alongside some brand new plates with a heavy Chinese focus.
Chef Matthew Oetting, along with Starr’s corporate chef Erik Battles, created this Miami-specific menu that includes a build-your-own sushi dish with tuna, salmon, sushi rice, toasted nori, vegetables, and garnishes presented in a bento box. There’s also a foie-gras McGriddle with fried egg, American cheese, bacon, hollandaise, and maple griddle cakes. The Continental will beÂ open for dinner only this weekend, and will start serving lunch and dinner on Monday, August 3, with breakfast and brunch to follow.
