The Rotary Club of Weston provided lunch to all 450 employees at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital through its Rotary Feeds the Front Line initiative. While taking necessary safety precautions, Rotarians set up tables in the parking lot and distributed boxed lunches prepared by Tap 42.
The mission of Rotary Feeds the Front Line is to meet the food needs of the heroes on the front line of this crisis as well as those residents in need. At the same time, all food is purchased from local restaurants and catering businesses to help support them as well. To date, the initiative has fed over 100 families in need throughout the community and, with this distribution at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital today, almost 1,500 frontline workers.
Freedland Harwin Valori, PL Partner Michael Freedland and his son, Blake Freedland, began this initiative just three short weeks ago. For those who would like more information, they can contact Blake Freedland or Deborah Richman, R.N. at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.rotaryfeeds.com.
