From September 25-27, Fashionably Conscious had its vintage designer sale to benefit Coconut Grove Cares’ The Barnyard Community Center, a community center which offers free services to the families of the historic West Grove community of Miami. Through Fashionably Conscious, the program is able to offer unrestricted funds to support summer camp and after-school programs for over 250 children.
The designer items donated for the cause ranged from the most luxurious of brands such as Prada, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Gucci and much more. Shoppers flocked from all over South Florida to get their hands on the coveted vintage pieces at discounted prices, and this year raised over $100,000!
The generous sponsors and donors of this cause included Jack Lowell, Pinnacle Housing, Mena Catering, KARLA Events, Kit & Ace, Eberjey, Mayda Cisneros, Neiman Marcus, Mia’s Garden as well as the sales’ angels and host committee who donated cash and clothing for the sale. The event took place in one of the prime retail spaces of CocoWalk, Fashionably Conscious being one of its first community partnerships.
Those who donated included Rima Otrakji, Natasha Lowell, Alexandra Codina, Andrew Frey, Tony and Conchi Argiz, Alexandra Gonzalez, Jim & Joanne Butler, Betty Chapman, Debi Hoffman, Ava & Berthony Napoleon; and hosts included Sarah Arison, Ana Codina-Barlick, Darlene Boytell-Perez, James Provencher, Aaron Resnick, Debra Scholl and more. Each cleaning out their closets to contribute to a truly wonderful charity and cause
