Born of a love affair with the arts, the developers behind 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House – a new, chic, economically-priced boutique hotel residence being built on the last parcel of vacant land in Mid-Beach – have partnered with Miami’s preeminent arts non-profit, the Bakehouse Art Complex, to administer a call to artists.
Themed “ARTiculate Beach Houseâ€Â the 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House Art Competition invites emerging local artists (must reside in Miami-Dade county) to create imaginative, thoughtful and themed pieces that will ultimately be displayed in the lobby of the hotel residences; with giclées of the winners’ works being replicated to hang on the walls of each unit (70 in total). Original artworks in the form of drawings, paintings, illustrations, photography and digital art will be accepted.
Three Winners will be awarded $2,500. All entries have the opportunity to be displayed at the Bakehouse Art Complex during an artists’ reception and winners’ announcement. The 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House Art Competition will also be widely publicized and commemorated in a coffee-table style book.
The developers of 6080 Collins Avenue Beach House, artist and owner of art studio the Fun Pallette Cari Cohen, and a representative from the Bakehouse will select the top three works of art that meet the competition criteria. A collection of the top competition entries will be unveiled at a public opening to be hosted at the Bakehouse Art Complex on September 24. The event is complimentary and open to the public. #ARTiculateBeachHouse @6080Collins @BACMiami
