Our inaugural wine dinner in the “Behind the Red Curtain: An Exclusive Tour of Italy” took us to Tuscany featuring Castello D’Albola. The guests were greeted with Zonin Prosecco, delicious ciccheti and succulent affetati. The courses included dishes like Pici Pasta Senesi with Duck & Tomato Ragu and Carnaroli Risotto ai “Fungi Porcini paired with Chianti Classico, Bisteca a la Fiorentina paired with Chianti Classico Riserva.
Join us on the next stop in our tour of Italy as ZONIN 1821 and Toscana Divino highlight the Piemonte, a region rich in food and wine best-known for their Barolos and Barbarescos featuring a carefully curated menu perfectly paired with wines from Castelo del Poggio. The menu will include locally inspired plates such as Crispy Veal Tendon, Leek Agnolotti with Truffles, Barolo Braised Beef and Gianduja Cake.
Guests will enjoy casual conversation about wines with a featured sommelier, as well as wonderful raffle prizes, including free bottles of wine and other gifts sure to delight both foodies and oenophiles. The Italian wine dinner of the series will take place on Tuesday, November 10th with seating at 8 p.m. for $80 per person.
