Celebrating its 20 year anniversary, Stephanie and Jules Trump along with Eddie Trump of Acqualina Resort & Spa host the annual “I Have a Dream” Foundation Miami Gala at Turnberry Isle. The I Have a Dream Foundation empowers children in low-income communities to achieve higher education and fulfill their leadership potential by providing them with the skills, knowledge and habits they need to gain entry to higher education and succeed in college and beyond. The Foundation guarantees their academic tuition at a Florida state university for a four-year degree or at an accredited trade school.
“The Foundation provides the Dreamers with tutoring, mentoring, pregnancy and drug prevention programs after school, along with summer school, college preparatory classes and counseling. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see so many Dreamers who participated in this program to go on and become successful lawyers, teachers, social workers, secretaries, scholar-athletes, and more.†Guests attending the Gala will enjoy a cocktail reception and silent auction starting at 6:30 p.m. followed by an elegant dinner, music and live auction. Funds raised at the gala benefit the I Have a Dream Foundation Miami’s Dreamers and 100% of the proceeds from the auction are placed into scholarships and operational funds used to supply the children at Andover Middle School in Miami Gardens with valuable items such as reading glasses, clothing, books, tutors, social workers, and more.
This year’s honorary co-chairs include Tom and Leslie Murphy, Tom C. and Suzanne Murphy, and Sean and Jennifer Murphy. The title sponsor for the event is Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc. – Miami Division. Individual tickets are $500.
