The fourth edition of the Miami River Art Fair, an international, contemporary art fair, showcases world-class artists and galleries from more than 30 countries in an indoor booth setting at the Riverfront Hall. This grand show space overlooks the one-of-a-kind outdoor Riverwalk Sculpture Mall that will feature monumental sculpture on the banks of the historic Miami River. A special guest at the Fair will be Prince Lorenzo De’Medici, Renaissance Pop Artist from Italy, who will exhibit is private art collection, including the Medici Slingshot Car.
Heather J. Taylor is one of the featured artists at the Miami River Art Fair. Now known for her bold abstract nudes and vibrant botanicals, before 2010 Taylor could barely draw a stick figure. Inspired by the book, “Drawing with the Right Side of Your Brain” by Betty Edwards, she fell in love with watercolors and immediately started creating still life, abstracts, portraits and mixed media. “I am still pinching myself. To be invited to participate and show my work during Art Basel week at the Miami River Art Fair is a dream come true. I am so honored and blessed to be in the company of so many acclaimed international artists and have the opportunity to meet art collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world,” said Taylor.
She will be showcasing three abstract nudes at this event. “These pieces were painted straight from my heart to depict the human form blended with colorful, moving emotion,” said Taylor. She has been commissioned by people from all over the U.S. and studied with Ric Dentinger (San Antonio) and Ann Bell (Houston). Her art studio is in Texas at the Aurora Art Gallery in The Heights. @miamiriverart
