Explore Florida’s winter flora through the lens of art, nature, and technology with award-winning landscape architect Roberto Rovira. As a registered landscape architect with a design, engineering, and fine arts background, his teaching, research, and creative work explore the intersection of technology, art, and living systems. He will discuss examples of plant life from South Florida’s dynamic landscape and his unique approach to understanding their intersecting patterns.

Landscape architect Roberto Rovira is principal of Studio Roberto Rovira and an associate professor, and former chair, of the department of Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design at Florida International University. As a registered landscape architect with a design, engineering, and fine arts background, his teaching, research, and creative work explore landscape architecture in public space and the intersection of technology and living systems. He has been lead designer in national and international projects and won multiple awards, including recognition by the Architectural League as one of eight 2015 Emerging Voices, one of the most coveted awards in North American architecture. @RobertoRovira @FashionProj
