Bal Harbour Shops will present its latest festival project, Wearing Time, organized in collaboration with Londons Central Saint Martins Fashion in Film, and presented in partnership with the UM Lowe Art Museum, Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Moving Image Archives, and Miami International Film Festival. All screenings are free on the mall’s 3rd level exhibition space, converted to a chic screening room – living room style – by Tui Pranich/Tui Lifestyle. Go online for full program info. The four-day festival, co-curated by Tom Gunning and Marketa Uhlirova, explores cinemas fascination with the relationship between fashion and time. Through celebrated classics, rare newsreels, animations, documentaries, fashion films and artist films, this program explores cinematic clothing as a vehicle of reconnecting the past with the present and the future. The festival features films by Cindy Sherman, Michelle Handelman, Jessica Mitrani, Lernert & Sander, Marcel LHerbier, Alfred Hitchcock, Farah Kahn, Émile Cohl, Nicolas Roeg, Jun Ichikawa, Max Ophüls, Chao-ti Ho, Joseph Cornell, Albert Maysles, and more. @FashionProj
