SOBEWFF celebrated 15th anniversary with “Sweet 15” a dessert party inside Miami Beach’s iconic The Villa, Casa Casuarina. SOBEWFF has been bringing the world’s most renowned chefs and Food Network & Cooking Channel’s most popular culinary personalities to South Florida for 15 years – helping raise more than $22 million for the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University.

“Sweet 15” was hosted by none other than the Ace of Cakes himself, Duff Goldman. Duff is both host and judge on Food Network’s new series Duff Till Dawn. He is also a judge on Holiday Baking Championship and Spring Baking Championship, and with Valerie Bertinelli, he hosts and judges Kids Baking Championship.

Duff and some of the most-famed pastry chefs and bakeries from across the country took over The Villa Casa Casuarina for an epic late-night soiree. Goldman unveiled one of his over-the-top sugary creations – a cotton-candy display featuring his Grapefruit Meringue Crumble Push Pops.

Norman Love Confections presented Norman’s signature gourmet chocolates and fresh cakes. Mikel Pichs of Gianni’s at the Villa, restaurant recently open at the Villa Casa Casuarina, offered assorted mini pastries and unique flavors of chocolate bonbons.

Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar, called “one of the most exciting bakeries in the country” by Bon Appetit magazine, served up Mini Maple Sugar Cookies, and her fan-favorite Strawberry Lemon Cake. Garrison Confections by Andrew Shotts presented mini pastries, verrines, and chocolate bonbons.

Chicago pastry chef Mindy Segal, a James Beard Award-winning chef and the owner of the popular Hot-Chocolate Restaurant served assorted cookies from her Cookie Love cookie cookbook, a new take on baking cookies.

Renowned Pastry Chef Sherry Yard of Helms Bakery, a previous Cutthroat Kitchen judge and competitor, wowed the crowd with Hot Chocolate Ice Cream Cones, finished with torched fluffy marshmallow topping.

Pastry Chef Hedy Goldsmith presented Sweet Hedy Artisan Thai Popsicle, made in a traditional Thai Popsicle makers. Luis Vasquez from the Miami Beach Edition Hotel presented double pleasure, a Florida Citrus-Cardamom Pavlova and a birthday cake-and-ice cream combo.
