Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services hosted its “Galactic Nights – Launching Into The Future” gala at the Lou La Vie Gallery, one of the trendiest venues in downtown Miami. More than 300 business leaders, philanthropists and youth advocates attended guests enjoyed dancing to the music of DJ Laz while experiencing exotic entertainment such as Galactic dancers, an LED dancing robot, a psychic reader, a mixology bar and much more.
Miami Bridge has been providing temporary housing and trauma-informed care for kids escaping crime, abuse, violence and human trafficking. Event proceeds will help expand its services, including youth development activities, case management, mental health and substance abuse prevention counseling, life skills education and parenting programs.
With campuses in Miami and Homestead, Miami Bridge is Miami-Dade County’s only 24-hour emergency shelter for at-risk youth. Miami Bridge shelters more than 500 children and teens (ages 10-17) and provides counseling to more than 550 families every year. For more than 30 years, the nonprofit has been a pioneer providing a safe place for youth who face life in the street. Miami Bridge is an asset to the community thanks to the gifts from businesses and corporations and generous contributions of individual donors who believe in the nonprofit’s mission.
